About Us
We are led by Pastor Simon Green, who commenced in post at the beginning of February 2023.
Alongside Pastor Simon, three Elders (David Waters, Rowland Bugden and David Stokes) form the spiritual leadership team.
We are ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds who have a shared belief and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to tell others about Him. We meet on Sundays, both morning and evening, for worship services and also on Tuesday evenings for an informal time of Bible study and prayer. Our services are open to everyone who would like to come along.
Our worship services are led by the Pastor but we occasionally enjoy the preaching of Josh Bolt (who has worked with us for several years as a preaching assistant), of church Elders Rowland Bugden and David Stokes, and sometimes guest pastors or lay preachers.
On the first Sunday each month (with rare exceptions) a Communion service immediately follows the morning worship service. In months where there are five Sundays, on the third Sunday of the month, an additional Communion service is held immediately after the evening worship service. All who have been baptised by immersion are welcome to join with us at these Communion services where we prayerfully remember Christ’s instruction to take the bread and wine as reminder of his blood being shed and his body being broken for us.
With the exception of the of the first Sunday in the month, tea and coffee are served after the morning service – an informal time to give people an opportunity to get to know each other a little better and to exchange news.
We love to welcome new people to our congregation and have facilities to make life comfortable for all ages and abilities. We have designated rooms for Sunday School use, modern toilet facilities including baby changing area and a toilet for the disabled. The main rooms have PA and Loop systems. Designated wheelchair spaces and ramps allow full access.
Currently we are unable to hold children’s clubs but we host a Community Coffee Morning on the first Friday of the month and a ladies’ meeting (Friends & Neighbours) on the last Wednesday of the month – see the Weekly Activities page for full details. We continuously look to the Lord to grow the work.
